So NFL.com is running their Over/Under Rated players all time for each NFL team. I think the Seahawks turn is sometime mid-July. But since training camps haven't' started and I'm bored I was thinking we could make our own list. Feel free to disagree - I think that's kind of the point of the list.

Overrated
- Steve Hutchinson: Sure he was a really good guard but playing next to Walter Jones made him look elite. He was good but I think people over-estimate is talent and impact.

- Shaun Alexander: Similar to my Hutch criticism. Getting to run behind Jones would have made me a 1000 yard rusher.

- Brandon Browner: People around the NFL seem to think he's a great corner but I think he's a product of his surrounding cast. When I see him with the pressure on, he crumbles. Wanted to have three on each list and finding a third "over" took me the longest.

Underrated
- Cortez Kennedy: Played on some bad teams and I don't hear his name come up often enough in the discussion of greatest interior linemen. Maybe his HOF induction will change that.

- Steve Largent: He did it all and I think he deserves way more recognition.

- Chris Gray: A big part of the Seahawks success and he never gets the credit that Hutch and Jones do. He was an iron-man and deserves a ton of respect.

Who's on your list?

Hutch was THAT good IMO. Walt was a better lineman for sure but Hutch is a HOF calibre player. I also agree with Browner. He's a great corner but he has big holes that the scheme masks to some extent.

I can't disagree with your underrated players. Sadly Tez had to play during a dreadful era for the Seahawks. IMO, Largent's problem is that he's too 'old' and he isn't an athletic freak. Also, people may look at his numbers and see that modern players eclipse those numbers by a strong margin, yet they don't realise that he retired as the historical leader in many categories and did it in an era when running the ball was the norm.

I strongly disagree with this about browner. If anything, i think he only shows up in the big moments, which is why i think the league overrates him. It's the little things he constantly misses that set him back.

Steve Hutchinson was one of the best guards I've ever seen play.

Overrated for me is Shaun, Lofa, and...probably...Darrell jackson. Idk why but I can't think of anyone right now I'll probably change the last one later

Underrated is Mebane, Leroy hill, and Sean Locklear. I always thought lock didn't get enough credit for his pass pro. I'm not too familiar with players before like 98

Curt Warner and Kenny Easley would have to be on the underrated list. Two greats at their respective positions. Easley was an all-time great during his span with Seattle.
