Is Earl Wolff penciled as a starter? because i think he would really be fun to watch in the secondary. Obviously Kenny Phillips is expected to take one safety spot but if Chung is suppose to be starting opposite him then the Eagles defense will suffer, he's slow in coverage and sometimes just lost on the field, although he's a solid tackler against the run but not very aggressive though.

Nobody is penciled in.....especially back there in the secondary.

They said they will try Phillips at both spots....for him to be a SS that'd mean Nate hopefully stepped up. If not its a 3/4 man battle at SS between Chung, Earl, Coleman, and Nate potentially.

They want the each Safety to be flexible so I'm not sure how important the titles will be.

I think the secondary to most people right now is Fletcher and Williams at Corner. Phillips at Free, Chung at Strong, Boykin is the Nickel, and Poyer or Hughes as the dime.

I don't trust Allen to wake up on season 4 after 3 seasons of been an almost 16-game starter, seems like he's better for a 3rd safety role/back-up.

Phillips is one of the best deep ball defenders in the league when healthy so he should man the FS spot while, as you said, it's a battle for the SS spot.

This will definitely be a make or break year for Nate...he showed some good play as a rookie but ever since his injury rookie year he hasn't been an impactful player. Hopefully the new staff can get him going in the right direction. Because at the very least we need a decent backup with Kenny's injury history.

But yea SS should be an entertaining position to watch....think Chung has the edge but it'll be a battle all through camp and well into August.

They must have left him off by accident. The graduation process has been over for a while now.

Dion Jordan's contract is done and does contain off-set language although its reported that all of the guarenteed money is due early in the contract.
I expect Lane's contract to get done rather quickly now.
