If Maclins on the field, the scores-win total is the same if not a little less. He sucks, and is as soft as they come.

Ertz gets a ringing endorsement by Vick:

“Since the first day that kid walked in here I just felt that there was something special about him,” said Vick in a conversation with Birds 24/7. “I just like to be around him. I like playing with him. I like having him out on the field.

There are three players that I told that they would be great players in this league: I always told Alge Crumpler that he was going to be great, I always told Shady McCoy that he was going to be a great player in this league, and I always told Roddy White. And now I’m saying Zach Ertz. And I think in time, he will be one of the best tight ends in this game.”

Hope he is right about Ertz. Certainly haven't seen it so far...

I have high hopes for Ertz. I think he has a ton of upside once he gets used to the NFL. Hes being weened in little by little.

While I agree he is super soft. His red zone presence and above-averageness it's surely missed, the other guys we have are complete crap and Maclin could benefit of the attention DeSean is getting, besides, I think Maclin could have produced better with this offense.

He is soft though.

He wasn't Anquan Bolding the first three years, but the first year where he didn't want to block at all was only last year. Maybe Chip could turn him around.

DeSean on the other hand has won me over more and more every week, he is playing tough , hes fighting corners, hes been working the middle more, he just looks intense out there, hes fragile as hell but atleast he is showing that sorta Steve Smith Napolean Syndrome and fighting out there.

DeSean's a tough little SOB.

Dude has been awesome this year. He's still only 26 (will be 27 in December) years old....We just need a competent receiver next to him.

I'm tellin you guys....Jordan Matthews. Get on the wagon now while it's still less crowded...

I'm not saying we should get rid of him at all, but I'd like to see more from Jackson still.

When he has the ball in his hands though. I forget what game it was, but he caught a deep pass then for some reason decided to go out of bounds instead of running.

We still need to throw more screens to DJax. I don't understand why the last time I saw DeSean catch a screen was the pro bowl from 2 or 3 years ago and Chip was supposed to be a big screen guy.

I presume its cause the CB is in press coverage, so it doesn't make sense to throw screens to him

He has proved me wrong, that's for sure. Applause

Now I just want to see how he reacts if/when we start losing more games. Hopefully he doesn't revert back to the '11/12 version of himself.
