I know this is "very" early but if Aaron Hernandez is acquitted of murder charges and free to resume his football career, would you want the Browns to sign him knowing the type of past he's had?

Peace!!

So your question is how many years the deal should be, right?

Eh, image means something.

It depends on why he is acquitted in my opinion. Was it because he obviously did no wrong, or because he got off on a technicality or something similar?

Sign him now. Put language in contract that we can cut him with no penalty if he's covected. Unless we can wait 25 years to life

Yes. I still wish we took him over Colt McCoy.

if the browns really wanted him, they could of traded up back into the fourth rd for him or the back end of the 3rd

If there was ANY chance of him being acquitted, the Pats wouldn't have cut him. He is going to prison for the remainder of his football playing years.

I'm also relatively sure that after prison, Hernandez might be a much more viable option as a converted wide receiver.

Why wait?

Dudes on waivers. Snag him and if he does get put away, just cut him.

I'm kidding.

Well mostly. Image means something and we really don't need this type of negative publicity right now.
