I am confused. Were you one of the people talking down the Hope signing?

no, I like the Hope signing. I think I said that he at worst should be a solid veteran presence for us.

Yeah he played and he was decent. Nothing spectacular but given the uncertainty of our DE position, and he has a similar back-ground to Ziggy being from Africa and coming over for school/football. Might be a nice mentor in Ziggy's first year transitioning to the NFL. Another signing that actually makes them look smart again.

Sorry, forgot the green.

I know he played, but IMO he was horrible. He appears to be on the EXTREME downside of his career. As in I never expected to hear from him again.

If 7.5 sacks and 48 tackles in less than a full season is horrible and part of an EXTREME downside....well..

I was just thinking yesterday how signing Idonije would be great. I feel like greatly damages Lewis's chance of making the roster.

Vet presence on the DL. Coming from a division rival where he's been pretty productive. 1 year deal. Competition to help Ziggy excel. This just is a good move.

Wait, are we judging Dline on sacks again? Did you pass out a memo? I don't think I got a memo.

I suppose you are right there. I doubt he makes it past camp/pre-season though. But I am sure he could teach the kid a trick or 2 in a couple months.

Not just sacks. 48 tackles is more than avril and kvb both did, and he played a lot less. He's part of the transformation of our line into doing the things other than just getting sacks well. Run D, batting down balls, etc. The fact that he can get sacks is a plus, not how I judge him

Take PFF for what it's worth, but Idonije played 55+ snaps in every game last year and never graded out worse than a -0.8 with 12 games being a positive grade.

He's also 32 years old and we saw how quickly KVB dropped off.
