Glad to see him get work, too bad it's gotta be with the Lions.

This one hurts.

I know Izzy pretty well and I know it will be killing him to not be with the Bears. But a job is a job.

So would you guys consider this a good signing for the Lions?

Absolutely.

He is versatile and productive on the field.

In the locker room and the community he is 2nd to none and is a consumate professional and leader.

This is an under rated move that will pay off big for the Lions.

Cool. Good to hear good things from a Bears fan. I remember thinking that he was really good when we played you guys.

Disappointed to see Izzy go, true professional and has produced season after season, but his departure has looked inevitable for a while now. I'm sure he'll do well in Detroit and wish him the best of luck in 14 of his 16 games this season.

I'll be rooting for him 14 games a year. Lions got a class act who can play anywhere on the line. I think this will also help Ansah develop, showing him some of the techniques Marinelli used to further develop him. Glad to see he going to be back on the field, it's just going to suck seeing him in blue. Sad

Sad to see him be elsewhere and especially within the division but he's been as good as gone since Ellis was signed. Great guy from all accounts and very accomodating to fans. He filled up my Twitter feed last night with what must have been 200 retweets of well wishes he received from fans. You'll like him there both on and off the field.

Maybe Megatron now (under a different name for copyright reasons) becomes a new character in his comics...

I agree with the sentiments expressed. The Lions got a decent player and a better man. I was OK with not signing him, but he has always been a top flight individual and a class act. My reasoning for not wanting to sign him has nothing to do with him being a liability; as he is a competent, versatile player.

Hes a solid player, and I hate the fact that he signed with the Lions. 20.5 sacks the last 3 years.
