Big Ben on the Browns would make them the team to beat in that division for the foreseeable future, I think. Cinci is not winning anything with Dalton, anyone who watches the games knows he holds them back most of the time.

Gordon Cameron Little Benjamin (next year)

Dalton hasn't held that team back this year. Their OL and IMO shaky playcalling has been way more to blame.

Maybe against bad teams.

Big Ben to Green/Jones/Sanu/Gresham w/ that defense would win multiple rings, I honestly believe.

Ok LeBron

Ed Reed cut by the Texans

I know he's been bad the last couple of years, but Belichick still loves him and with Gregory out I'd be surprised if the Pats didn't at least kick the tires.

Could he be worse than Gregory with a broken thumb? Hard to say. Gregory was having an okay season in my opinion, with his usual array of flaws showing up from time to time. Harmon will probably get more run, Wilson is a total bust, so maybe they bring Reed in for a few weeks to see what he has left, if anything.

Think about it as Ed Reed vs. Harmon and Tavon Wilson. His name is not Sergio Brown, so he's a clear upgrade over Wilson. As for Harmon, do you really want to start the guy against Peyton Manning?

Depth, chance to end up being a good fit and providing more, guaranteed to be a coach on the sideline if he's willing. I like it.

Ed Reed has cleared waivers after being released by the Texans and is being courted by the Jets and Patriots, according to sources.

I'd be fine with bringing him in. Hopefully he can at least help mentor our young safeties.

Everyone knows how much BB loves Ed Reed. The glowing segment about him in Football Life has to have massaged his ego somewhat, even if that was from 2009. Also, we are a much better SB contender than the Jest, so for the vet min, I could see him coming here. I think Harmon has been impressive the last few weeks (in that he hasn't been a dumpster fire like our other WTF relatively high draft pick at Safety) Murts is right though, don't really want him out there against Peyton, but maybe Reed's (if he was here) familiarity will be used against him by Peyton, in that Manning will have prepared for Reed many times in the past before and knows how to attack him - perhaps Harrmon's inexperience would be a blessing in disguise.

@nyjets: We bolstered our secondary THURS, agreeing to terms with Ed Reed a day after the veteran S cleared waivers.

Defensive lineman Armond Armstead, currently on the non-football illness list, also did not practice. If he does not begin practicing by the end of this week, he will be placed on injured reserve.
