Started this thread on NFL General but thought it'd be cool here. What Seahawk player in the past would you want on this team now, in his prime?

My answer was Cortez Kennedy. I feel the one major pressing need we have is still pass rush and Kennedy was such a monster in this dept. Anyway, what say the rest of you?

Randle
Largent
Easley
Brown
Tatupu
Jones
Hutchinson
Alexander
Springs
Trufant

etc.

The lack of Julian Peterson is a travesty. Actually, aside from Walter Jones and maybe Kennedy, there's nobody i'd want on this team more right now

I'll also mention:

Patrick Kerney
Jacob Green
Young Joey Galloway
Josh Brown (blasphemous, i know)
Mack Strong
Curt Warner (perfect CoP for lynch)

No malice here my brotha, i bet i forgot a few too Very Happy

JP was just one of the first guys i expected to see. Actually a few more that yours truly forgot:

Brian Blades
Joe Nash
Howard Ballard (RT)
Rufus Porter
Sinclair
Eugene Robinson
Jim Zorn (backup QB)

Those are just guys i think could contribute. My apologies if I came off harsh, the internet can do that sometimes. This is a great thread, it's all respect over here.

=)

Some true greats you listed, chief.

Loved me some Michael Sinclair, I remember writing Seattle a letter when I was 11 or so and calling out Michael Sinclair in that letter as one of my faves. Seattle actually sent me back an 8x10 photo of Matt Hasselbeck signed (legit - Matt actually wrote my name).

Anyway, you still haven't told me who you'd take. Would it be JP?

I think i'd takes jones. Hutch and Tez are the go-to answers in terms of need, but after thinking about it, i'd love to push Okung over to RT. One of the GOAT tackle duo's by default, pairing with a QB that likes to get outside of the pocket and make plays. Just formidable. Removes Breno 911 and makes the Job easier for the guards ( who can still develop) easier rather than simply replacing them. Walt could school this young OL somethin legendary too. Just something i'd like to see. Hard not to go with a first ballot HOFer

Cortez Kenney....that Defense would be insane.

Hutchinson and Jones come in next. Could make a case for Jacob Green as well...

Could make some very interesting formations adding Kenny Easley to Thomas, Chancellor, Sherman, Browner, and Winfield...would never be a need to have 3 LBs on the field.

Same here. Only thing I know of Easley is what my dad has told me and what I've seen from footage I've seen of the old Seahawks. My dad always tells me that Easley is the best safety he's ever seen play the game. Even Ronnie Lott said Easley was better than him.
