Our hall of fame needs a new member!

This is the nomination phase of the process. Quite simply, all you need to do is PM me the name of the person you wish to nominate to the HOF. The candidates with the most nominations will then be put forward to the next (and final) round, where members will choose from a list to select the newest inductee.

The amount of people going through to the next round is tentatively set at 5. However, if around 6 or 7 people get a similar amount of nominations, then they will all go through to the next round.

Who qualifies as a Patriots Forum HOF'er?
Anybody - As long as they're a pats fan! No restrictions on join date or post count whatsoever. The only people that cannot be nominated are posters who are already members of the HOF. Those posters are:

1. Tzimisce: 2008
2. Patsfan01: 2008
3. hollywood14: 2008
4. Rabbisson: 2009
5. finn54: 2010
6. icecoldbruschi: 2011

Each member gets ONE vote. This first round of the process is open for three weeks. That means voting will close on Sunday 14th July at 11:59PM ET. This thread will be bumped occasionally to remind people to vote.

Please DO NOT post in this thread who you have nominated.

Previous HOF threads can be viewed in the Patriots All-Time thread, which is a sticky at the top of the board.

So... not CP? Laughing

Anyway, kinda strange seeing no selection in 2012.

PMed my vote, good luck everyone.

Oh and don't vote for yourself. It would usually go without saying but I have my doubts about some of you. Laughing

You should induct two people this year. I totally dropped the ball last year, so it makes sense.

I might do that. I'll see what the distribution of the nominations is like.

I've sent mine in Smile

I voted for myself, I urge everyone else to do the same (vote for me, not themselves...)

15 people have sent in nominations so far (including my own nomination). If it ended right now, it would probably be 2 selected from 6.

Bump for more votes! Hopefully we can get closer to 20 by Sunday.

If we're going to vote two people in, do you think it's better if the next stage allows you to vote twice?

Would you prefer:

- Two equal value votes

Or:

- A 1st choice (worth say 10 points) and a 2nd choice (worth 5 points)

Thoughts?

I think the point system makes sense, 1st place ballots =10, 2nd place =5. Makes good sense to me.

To be clear, the points system is for the next round. Not this round.

I've only got 10 nominations for the Awards! Who is voting for the HOF but not the awards!! Bah!

I like the points system though. Think it's a good shout.
