IF Brady has a down year, it could be us on top. However, they still have Tom Brady and he's earned the benefit of the doubt.

1. Patriots (2 at lowest)
2. Dolphins
3. Bills (I think they will be competing for the 2nd spot TBH)
4. Jets by a lot

I see the Division close between Miami and New England and then there's the bottom dwellers.

Patriots 11-5
Dolphins 10-6
Bills 4-12
Jets 1-15

Hoping to get to the Jets game in New York since I live in VA, nowhere near Miami unfortunately.....

I can't say that I expect us to win the division. I certainly expect to be in the mix though. I agree that "on paper" we look better than the Pats right now IMO. It's all going to boil down to how well RT plays.

To me the answer comes down to 2 things.

1. The play at LT
2. Pass rush

If both those things are above average, i think we wrestle it away from the pats.

I'm just here to say that I LOVE the way the Dolphins are being built. I will probably get back to genuinely disliking the team now that I believe that are going to return to a serious competitive level. Cannot wait to see if it will all be translated on the field.

I really see a 10 win season, and wild card birth for the Phins this year.

So excited to watch Lamar Miller explode on the scene!

Best of luck,
CP

Patriots 12-4
Dolphins 8-8
Bills 6-10
Jets 5-11

How I see the division right now. No way Miami "should" win anything, but I'll be interested to see how it turns out.. It's certainly possible.

First I think it is hard to hard to have any expectations for any NFL team. Too much parity and too many variables can effect a teams outcome.

Second, I fully expect the Dolphins to win the division...

I see 9 wins as a baseline for what this team should be able to accomplish with average luck. With bad luck, I could see 6-7 wins, and with good luck I could see them winning 11 or more.

I think winning the division is shooting high. It's possible, but Tannehill has to perform in the same ballpark as Brady. If Hernandez is out for the season (very possible), Gronk misses some time (likely), and Amendola misses some time (likely) then Tannehill could be in his league. Brady is a football god, but can he really be expected to excel with none of his top 6 options from last year?

I have the Fins at 9-10 wins this season. Obviously if Brady goes down or something it could go up, but the Pats aren't bad defensively anymore. They have some players over there, and a running game that can be relied upon.

As indicated by the lack of responses to this post brimming with optimism and good sportsmanship, most of us Dolphins fans have mixed feelings about how to respond.

I get where he's coming from. It's a lot more fun to be a winner amongst winners than to be a winner by default. The domination is cool at first, but then it just gets kind of boring when there seems to be almost nothing to play for during the regular season because the division is wrapped up with 4 games to go.

I'm still confused? If we are the Wildcard team, then who does he see winning the division? The Bills?

It's like Brady will be dealing with the Miami Dolphins receiving group from last year?
