How the hell can they rule him out for the whole season? It's only June.

Absolute disaster. Honestly in the list of players we can't afford to lose it probably goes Manning, Miller, Clady, then Walton.

I actually would like to see Kuper get some reps at Center or Beadles even

Lol what? Are you kidding? So the guy who missed almost the entire year last year, but was adequately replace is a guy we can't afford to lose? I just absolutely don't agree. And even if Legwold says he's possibly coming back in October, that doesn't mean he will, nor does it mean he'll just step in midseason in proper form.

I'm sure Ramirez is going to get a long look. He will struggle less at Center. He will be much less vulnerable to better athletes. He and Vasquez played together in college. The communication aspect is vital. He has a chance to keep the job. If Koppen is brought in, he will likely be the starter.

At best, Walton will be out through late October. That means he won't appear before the bye week.

Unfortunately, the 2013 schedule is tougher before the bye than afterwards.

My guess is that the Broncos bring in an experienced center with a one-year contract with the hope that Ramirez or Blake can start next year.

Week 1: Baltimore
Week 2: at New York Giants
Week 3: Oakland
Week 4: Philadelphia
Week 5: at Dallas
Week 6: Jacksonville
Week 7: at Indianapolis
Week 8: Washington
Week 9: BYE
Week 10: at San Diego
Week 11: Kansas City
Week 12: at New England
Week 13: at Kansas City
Week 14: Tennessee
Week 15: San Diego
Week 16: at Houston
Week 17: at Oakland

What about persuading Saturday to unretire? I'm sure we tried to sign him last year.

I was looking in the general forum earlier and there are some trolls saying that Walton will be no loss anyway.

So you think Walton isn't going to be ready for NEXT season?

No. Saturday was benched in Green Bay last year. He might be a household name, at least as far as centers go, but he's no good.

And I agree with "the trolls" - went went 13-3 last year and Walton was gone for, what, 11 of those wins? We will sign Koppen or use Rameriz, Kuper or Blake and we will be just fine.

Hard to tell, but, I'm sure there are concerns in Dove Valley that he'll never be back. If Walton misses all of 2013, that means he will have missed nearly two full seasons. How long would it take him to get back to game shape?

Walton's initial 4-year rookie contract ends after the 2013 season. If he can't play by the end of 2013 then he probably won't be offered a new contract for 2014.

Why would you all want anyone other than Koppen? Koppen can handle the "fast pace" offense the it seems the Broncos want to run.

I thought his contract might be up this season. We very well may never see Walton play in Denver again. I don't know if we'd be able to afford him but Alex Mack is a FA after this season too.

Championship level signing. Koppen was top class last season.

Good signing, not unexpected though. Will be good insurance during TC, provide a competitive push for Blake and ManRam, CJ and Saulsbury

Nice! This is really a nice deal. Classic case of addition by subtraction.
