How exactly? This is one incident. Unless I've missed a few others, I don't see how this can be a 'circus' in the least.

Tebow-mania and Gronk becoming the human version of Operation! is my guess.

Plus the Putin/Kraft thing that was recently released Laughing

You have to wonder if there is any connection between these two incidents.

I've wondered about that as well. If signing Tebow for the summer is precisely because he brings a "media circus", and that the purpose is to focus all the media's energy on Tebow and keep it off the rest of the team.

I was talking about the Putin-Hernandez connection. Or maybe a Putin-Tebow connection...it's unlikely, but you have to keep an open mind about these things.

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was sued earlier this month for allegedly shooting a man in the face following an altercation at a Miami strip club ... TMZ has learned.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Florida on June 13 -- five days before investigators searched the NFL star's Massachusetts home in connection with a homicide investigation that appears to be unrelated.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Hernandez and Alexander S. Bradley went to Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami on February 13, 2013 ... and during the outing, the two men got into an argument.

Bradley claims ... After the dispute, both men left the club -- and got into the same car which was heading to Palm Beach. During the ride, Aaron allegedly aimed his weapon at Bradley ... and the gun discharged, striking Bradley in the face.

Bradley claims he suffered major injuries from the gunshot ... including the loss of his right eye.

Bradley also claimed he required major surgery to reconstruct his face ... which required plates and screws. Bradley also claims he suffered damage to his right hand and arm, which also required surgery.

There's more -- Bradley claims Aaron was not licensed to carry a firearm in the first place.

Bradley demanded more than $100,000.

But just 4 days after Bradley filed the lawsuit, the case was DISMISSED.

We reached out to Aaron's people for comment -- so far, no word back.

Update:

10:34 AM PT -- Sources connected to the case tell us ... Bradley's legal team only dismissed the case because there was an error in the paperwork ... and they FULLY plan to REFILE the lawsuit TODAY.

We're also told ... Bradley will argue that the bullet initially struck him in the arm and continued traveling through his body until it struck him in the face .... blowing out his eyeball.

If the guy really got shot and lost his eye, wouldn't he ask for a more than just $100,000? and where is the police report?

Upon reflection, nothing about the second story makes any sense. But even then.... F Hernandez. Even if he's innocent in the whole car/murder thing he's still a punk and a POS, surrounding himself with thugs when hardworking people have invested so much into him, and given him second chances he didn't deserve.

Well it says more then $100,000 but maybe that is just the medical cost and he plans to sue for punitive after?

And I believe any gunshot wound treated at a hospital has to be reported to police so if this story is true there has to be a police report.

I see someone misinterpreted all those "Brady needs weapons" articles the last few years.

Lets see what's wrong with this claim...

1. No police report... sounds like the injury was serious enough to go to the hospital for, so why no police report?

2. The guy says he got shot in the arm and the bullet traveled thru his arm all the way to his eye... sounds legit

3. Hernandez wasn't in Miami when this supposedly took place.

Sounds like someone trying to scam Hernandez out of money.
