Unless there is some injury issue, I'd definitely be all over signing him. I really don't understand this move unless he is injured. I thought he was one of there better LBs next to Mathews of course.

I had read that he wasnt going to be ready for T.C and he was owed like 5 million per year?

He's 100% right now. Only owed 3.5m if you pick him up off waivers. Fantastic guy/leader and was, imo, without question, the best ILB on G.B... Is going to be a fantastic addition for whoever grabs him. Unless the injury was worse then anybody was letting on...

Yeah, Bishop would be a great pickup. Kind of a head scratcher. I really get the feeling we want to move on with Nico though, but you never know.

Yeah, I love Bishop, but am torn because I think Nico is going to be a good one. In the mind-set we've seen this off-season of looking to improve positions, even if we have a draft pick/player we traded for...

It would make sense that we at least call on him.

Torn hammies are difficult to come back from. That may be the issues here.

Jimmy I've heard from people in WI that it isn't about him being 100%, it's more about if that 100% will be the same in terms of explosiveness etc. So you could be right.

He does not cover TEs, well anyway, so yeah he would play left for you since Derrick does a lot of cover, no? Would be phenomenal for you guys.

Apparently Dorsey really likes him from GB, and if that's the case, we might find him on our roster. IF....IF he's 100% , it will be awesome and give Nico a year to learn while he plays.

Well last season we had arguably the worst coverage ILB in football for part of the season, so Bishop can't be worse. I'd be more excited about his ability to blitz when asked if he still has the quick burst. Belcher gave us ZERO pass rush, so being able to attack from either interior slot would be a perk.

Yeah, doesn't really surprise me we're bringing him in. We'll see, I just think Nico is going to be a solid player right out of the gate. Obviously I'd like to see Bishop here, but was kind of excited about the thought of Nico in there.

PhillyChief, it's creative accounting. If you don't believe that take a look at our government! Laughing

Seriously, if he can help, there is probably a way to construct a deal to get that done.
