Didn't this come out a few months ago? I remember hearing about it back when we signed him.

I'm glad he took less money to play for us, but he's overpaid either way, and it's only his dad saying it so it's far from "official". Also, he says nothing about contract length or other incentives (Miami probably offered more guaranteed money, and it's very possible that a lot of the difference had hard-to-achieve conditions)... I would imagine the contracts are much closer than the $16 million difference would suggest.

For all we know the 76 Million offer had half the guaranteed money. Without knowing the complete terms of the contract, it's impossible to tell if he actually took less money. It could have had an extra year on it, which makes it irrelevant.

Yea... its easy to lie with raw stats without other information. The Dolphins had more cap space than the Vikes and gave a pretty blowout deal. Hard to believe the Vikes deal is what it looks like just based on those numbers.

It all comes down to guaranteed money and the tax system in Florida.

Also, our jerseys look cooler.
