Really thought he had some potential in our system..
Leaves us pretty thin at the DT spot. _________________ I'm a Bears fan. |

Ha wow, surely our training camp isn't that bad that it forces you to retire before it even starts?! Bit of a blow to our DT depth though, Amobi Okoye still hasn't found a team I believe... Or this could give someone like Zach Minter a better chance to make the roster. _________________ 2016 Adopt-a-Bear: WR #13 Kevin White

Strange, any reason as to why? _________________ Joe_is_the_best on the sig

Probably did it to earn a signing bonus, and then run. Maybe I'm just cynical. I would be willing to bet the Bears find a way to get their money back from the signing bonus. |

Sad to see Sedrick retire before he played as a bear. He would have thrived in our system. Hopefully Zach Minter has a chance to make the team now. _________________

Bring back a Okoye? Or see what Richard Seymour's asking price is? |

That is real disappointing…Ellis could have restarted his career in this scheme but if his heart wasn’t in it it’s better to find out now. |

What is the cap hit? Can the Bears reclaim the bonus money? |

Ellis is obligated to return the bonus money under the CBA, so the Bears will most likely come after it. If he doesn't return it, it could become a legal issue. There's no cap hit assuming they get the money back ($285K). |
