Damn the FB position loses more and more value every passing year. Nowadays even teams that incorporate two backs a majority of the time will let go of their all-pro/pro-bowl fullback in favor of getting one for dirt cheap.

Reports are that the Ravens are open to bringing him back after he explores FA. Shows it's purely about the price.

I'm sure it is. Doesn't mean another team won't offer more than the Ravens for arguably the best FB in the game.

I don't think FM indicated anything of the sort. Ravens have done this before, it's all about "right player, right price." I'm guessing Ozzie gave him a number, if he can do better, good for him, if not, they'd love to have him back.

No doubt. I just wanted to squash any potential rumblings that it may be it was due to his age, or that we don't use him enough, or that we wanted to get younger, that we didn't have room to keep him, etc. It just shows that the Ravens like him, want him to be here, but his salary didn't match what he provided us in our new offense.

Don't mind this move for the Ravens, it's actually very similar to what I hope Seattle does. Michael Robinson is still playing good football as a heady veteran, but on a team looking to pinch pennies you have to make some salary cuts, and both of these teams have capable FBs waiting in the wings. I doubt Raven fans notice much of a difference if Ozzie is confident enough to let Leach walk. He's not as good as he once was.

But who will give us our behind the scenes look into the Seahawks locker room?

I actually think that's the reason most Seattle fans don't wanna lose him. I don't blame them Laughing
YOU HAVE A DIZZY WRIGHT SIG!!!!! You just went from being extremely awesome to a level of awesomeness that I didn't think could even exist. Just had to point that out.

According to a report from Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins would like for that answer to come sooner rather than later. And they’d like for the answer to be Miami.

It will be a major upset if former Ravens FB Vonta Leach winds up anywhere other than Miami. Dolphins want him too much.

Baltimore's really going to look like a different team next year. Don't know why they'd rid themselves of Leach. The guy's one of the top fullbacks in the NFL.

He was making $4m a year, and would only be seeing the field for maybe 20 snaps a game. Caldwell's system is not a power-run system, so Leach's one-dimensional game doesn't fit well with it. His # of snaps vs. cap number simply didn't match up anymore. In addition, we drafted Juice to play a role more suited for Caldwell's FB spot.

I find it rather telling that Leach is still unemployed.

He has 5 teams chasing him, he said he's taking his time with picking a team.
