Quote:
(On if he has any regrets with how it went down, going to New York and Minnesota) "It's the way it is. ...It is what it is. It's over and done with. I was at fault. I feel that both sides had a part in it. If you could go back would I or them have done things differently? I'm sure both sides would. But you can't. I don't know for certain, but I think the situation with Peyton (Manning) and the Colts almost looked like our situation but then maybe they thought twice about it and maybe they learned from our situation and they handled it correctly.

"So I hate it, that it happened that way and I tried to go on and play my best football in spite of those things. And I had a great year my first year in Minnesota and up until my bicep was torn in New York I really felt we were having a great year. So I look back and have fond memories of all those years. In 20 years of football, really I don't hold any regrets. I know I gave it my all. Had 16 great, wonderful years in Green Bay. Had a lot of success, played with a lot of great teammates. I was part of some teams that had some great coaches who have all branched out, McCarthy being one of those.

"Again, it happened. It's over and done with. I think things will be fine in due time."

Definitely worth your time. Basically agreed with everything he said.

I didn't think he had it in him to admit that.

However, it's good to see him say it nonetheless. I'm willing to forgive and forget, but both sides must do their halves of the equation.

Inb4 other teams' fans' "just get over it"-nonsense.

Looking at it, that is the one sentence the one and only thing he said that he did wrong. The rest of it is saying how the Packers screwed up and the Colts saw that we screwed up so they handled the situation better by not trading Manning.

I honestly have warmed up to Favre as the years have gone by since the situation happened, but he is still in fault and is blaming the Packers 90% rather than 100%.

Brett, just go away for awhile! We need to detox from your ego. If you really want to mend fences, just leave us alone for awhile! Go buy Marlon Brando's island in the Pacific or something.

Yup. Of course, he also conspired against the Packers, tried to plant derogatory stories about the GM in the media, hoped other teams would beat the Packers and knock them out of the playoffs, and said that one year in Minnesota was worth 10 in Green Bay.

Yeah, Brett. Nice apology. Way to take the blame without really taking the blame.

Pretty much.

Although I could really care less anymore. I'm over the Favre situation.

Yep.

Let's not pretend #4 does not have a hallowed place belonging to him in Lambeau though. He should get his due. But right now it needs to be when the Packer organization is all in. AND, there can be no stipulation or expectation from Favre that TT or anyone in the organization has to accept blame for anything. Nice that he said he was at fault, but if he expects the organization to also say they were at fault in order for him to come back into the family, he still needs to reflect some more and stay away.

Step in the right direction I suppose. There really isn't much he can do at this point. What is done, can not be undone.

And some people are so unwilling to hold Favre accountable for his misdeeds that it's pathetic.

Cuts both ways, hoss. If you have an argument, make it. But to just dismiss people as "bitter" "haters", etc. shows an astounding lack of understanding.

WE WON A SUPER BOWL ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER HE LEFT.

What do people not understand about this? We are an elite team, it's not like he left us in shambles. BITTER? No, he's just a prick of a human being, and I don't like him. A lot of us don't. That's not bitter. Holy crap, that word needs to stop.
