I don't know about superstar star but Kerley is definitely a keeper. He should perform well in this offense.

Morny has a track record of getting his playmakers the ball. Kerley is pretty much one of the only playmakers we have, so I expect him to get quite a few catches. I could see an 80 catch year if we get competent play from the QB position.

It's all going to come down to that, though. I think there are enough offensive pieces to field a competent unit, but if we get herpderp play from the QB position again, it'll all collapse on itself.

I like Kerley at the Y but not the X or the Z. Hes a great option in the slot for us, but we lack true split ends on this team, and please don't try to sell me on Hill. I'll believe it when I see it. The guy could literally be Usain Bolt and it wouldn't matter if he can't catch the ball.

Also, as good as Kerley has been, he does put the ball on the turf way too much, and the whole superstar mantra is way too much. Hes a nice player and I like him and regret ever saying we should cut him (facepalm) but lets not over do it either. Maybe in this offense hes a superstar.

Maybe we just use different terminology, but isn't Y the Split End?

This is how I thought offenses were termed (which would make Kerley an ideal X or Z)

Y-----------T--G--C--G--T--TE
-------------------QB-------------------Z------------X

Or remove the TE and throw the X on the ball.

Yeah I have always called the Y the split end (kind of makes sense if you think about how a "y" is formed).

When I played, that's the way our offense was set up. I played Z WR.

I like the TE there for protection and the TE could float out.
A WR on the line is asking for trouble IMO.
