#Lions have agreed to terms with OG/C Leroy Harris. He worked out for the team 2 weeks ago. Started most of the last 3 years for the #Titans

Some legitimate competition for Warford. Most likely cheaper than Peterman and probably better, too.

Not going to do much for the running game. The Titans interior is a big reason CJ2K sucks now.

Solid backup. If Sims or Warford go down he should be able to step in.

Nice solid backup. Probably better than Peterman was. Warford could learn something from him.

I know we need depth at guard, but... How about a tackle?

What's our plan here if any single one of our completely unproven tackles isn't good enough, isn't ready, or gets hurt? Feels like we have 2 guys basically playing the position for the first time in the NFL starting on either side, (I know Reiff played a 1 game at LT. still) and pretty much nothing behind them.

I think Reiff will be at least solid wherever he plays, but that's basically 1 tackle on the roster that I have any kind of confidence in.

Does any part of you wonder if this Backus deal has an unpublicized clause about said player/coach coming out of retirement to play in case of dire need during playoff contention? Makes sense if he's familiar with the scheme due to coaching and stays in decent shape by joining workouts.

Actually, yeah... one of my first thoughts was "possible player coach?" but I really have no idea whether that's likely, feasible or even legal. I guess he could theoretically quit then sign as a player...

I also don't even know if he's under contract as a coach. I think he's an "intern".

I certainly like the idea of something being out there in case of emergency, and he'd be a pretty darn good option if our current plan A falls through.

Probably not, we'd have to settle for West Nile Virus players. Laughing

I understand the need for depth but frankly all these signings are scaring the rap out of me.
