In case you havent read, due to the changes in the NFL year, we gained $3 mil in cap space from the Synder release.

Yes the downside is that the $3 mil is pushed into 2014, however we have now got $10 mil to spend.

We have a few rookies to sign, so lets call it $5 mil.

What do you do?

Nothing really notable is what I would do.

Absolutely nothing.

Roll it over into next season and then start again.

Literally the only move that would be even worth looking at would be bringing Kerry Rhodes back, but I am pretty sure there are going to be issues that that will stop it from happening.

I agree with this message. Bring back Rhodes and save the rest. Maybe extend peterson

Personally I would redo a few deals and move money from 2014 back to 2013 to use the cap

Simple accounting

Then I would reassess Roberts deal and see if he was interested in signing mid term deal (3-4 years) for reasonable money.

PP would be next, assess what he wants in Nov/Dec depending on how he is playing and aim to have it done before league year starts in March.

We can't, we cannot change anything in his contract until the end of his third year in the league. We cannot put any more money for Patrick Peterson into this year.

I just don't get this - I agree the best thing to do with the 3-mil is to front load something to give us more money next year - but why didn't we just do that with Snyder's contract by eating the entire 4 million this year?

Maybe they will do that once the preseason starts up.
