Moe was one of the few undrafted guys people thought had a legit chance of sticking around.

Apparently Moe suffered an injury, I'm assuming that if he clears waivers he will be placed on injured reserve.

I do like us bringing in Ellis, maybe he ends up signing.

Moe and Harrison were 2 I really liked from undrafted WRs. THough I expected Harrison to be the one on IR not Moe. Hopefully he bounces back next year and can make the team.

Him going on IR is probably the best case scenario. He can work for a year to replace Edelman, and they don't have to use a roster spot on a guy that probably wouldn't play, barring a spate of injuries.

Hmm not sure if it changes anything but the Patriots officially announced that Moe has been released, not waived/injured.

Don't know what everyone saw in Moe. He went undrafted for a reason. The guy looks extremely slow getting to speed. Seems kinda air headed too, especially for a white guy. Laughing

I like Ellis if he signs. But that only means so far into the team building process, the DT position has not looked good

Or that they're not satisfied with the depth at the position. I mean, the fourth guy on the depth chart right now is Marcus Forston. I think he could use a little competition, along with everyone else not named Wilfork.

For a guy who wasn't the most fleet of foot in the first place, that's bad news.

The DT position has no depth. They need bodies and competition for camp and Ellis is surely better or at least more experienced than some of the fodder they have.

Besides his 40 his 3 cone short shuttle etc were extremely good.
Hopefully he can heal well and be ready next yr.

Ellis is awful. They should stay far away from him.

He's started 70 games in five seasons. If you're expecting some kind of dominating 3-technique defensive tackle, he's awful. But it a more absolute sense, he's a solid player. He's been consistently average in a big role for New Orleans, which is all you can ask for in a 4th DT.

Ellis had a promising start to his career. I think scheme changes really undermined his progress. He's got talent. Just needs the right coaching.
