12 week rehab from mid June is early September assuming no setbacks. Throw in time to get up to speed and it might be Thanksgiving before we see him at his best.

As I recall they replaced the plate with the fourth, so they *again* have to check for reappearance of infected tissue.

Its a damn shame these injuries are popping up, he can shatter TE records and be a sure fire HOF if he could stay healthy and keep his pace

The real question is, will Clonk be ready for the start of the partying season?

Expected 12 week recovery time for Gronk puts him right around Week 1, but #Patriots could keep him out anywhere from 1-6 games to be safe

Am I missing something here? So far everyone is not worried because "he'll be there for the season opener."

All these forearm issues, surgeries, and now a back surgery have/will have put him off weight training for months. Goodbye strength. September is just over 3 months away. How many months have these issues put him back as far as strength and conditioning training goes?

And he has to make that all up in a few weeks when he can finally train?

I wouldn't be surprised if his blocking goes down to Hernandez levels (which isn't too bad but not elite like Gronk at his healthiest).

His rehab will not be sitting around until things get better. There are plenty of things that I'm sure he will be doing to keep his strength up. I'm more concerned about the fact that they felt he still needed a plate in his arm.

What are the rules re practicing and PUP? Would he be forbidden from working out with the team?

Yes, he cannot practice with the team even once until after week 6. After week 6 he may start practicing with the team for a period of up to 3 weeks, they then have to make a decision on rather to activate him or place him on injured reserve.
