Dont have a source to this but on FB Adam Schefter just reported that Raiders' 1st rd pick DJ Hayden was hospitalized with an abdominal injury. I dont have any source other than for this post but this is especially concerning considering his injury history. Anyone have any other reports on this?

This is Schefter's post :

Adam Schefter
"Raiders HC Dennis Allen said 1st-rd pick DJ Hayden has been hospitalized with an abdominal injury. Disconcerting."

This game should definitely bring some lulz from the Raiders side.

Updating an earlier item, Raiders CB D.J. Hayden was admitted to the hospital late last week for an abdominal procedure to have scar tissue removed
.
Quote:
Hayden remains in the local hospital following the surgery. Although there has been no update on his condition or expected release date, both head coach Dennis Allen and GM Reggie McKenzie are confident the rookie will be ready for training camp. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the operation isn't related to Hayden's freak November heart injury, but that's a bit hard to believe.

Hopefully it was routine.

In my opinion they are a joke. In the last ten years there drafts sucked.

Ironic.

He's out for the rest of the offseason until TC according to Levi Damien.

I don't think its related to his heart since they didn't cut into his abs but still....not good. Didn't read the article though.

I understand that star had a medical scare. Having said that I would still feel more confortable with him.

If its not related to his other surgery, can someone tell me where the scar tissue that is being removed came from.

Sounds like just cleanup stuff hopefully. Which you wont really know about until you get out there and are physical.

In reality he will miss 9 OTA days which is huge but they were going to be done with those by June 13th anyways. So I would think there is a minimum two week timetable on any type of procedure. Also the fact that both DA and Reggie seem pretty confident he will make training camp leads me to believe it is not that serious. Usually coaches will say I hope he can make it, we will know more later, take it day by day or something of that nature when they think it may be longer. (sucks we are too used to reading between the lines) lol.

Hayden's healthy doesnt concern me about the pick. Jordan and Mingo concern me. If they turn into great pass rushers, it won't matter much to me how good Hayden becomes. Hopefully they fail.

This could be adhesions. Bare with me on this but anytime you have surgery scar tissue form adhesions. This often have to be removed. Get the doctor on staff to explain this.
