I don't think there's any reason to believe he's on a short leash, no. He pretty much did what was expected of him last year and scored more TDs than any running back we've had since James Stewart scored 10 in 2000. I don't think he was overly impressive last year, especially with regard to his inability to gain yardage once reaching the second level, but he is actually able to move the pile and has been much better at gaining a couple of yards up the middle when he's had to. Most of the backs we've had over the last several years will hit the line and stop dead in those situations.
