Dynasty league question here...

Can't decide...tell me your favorite 2 and if you got the time why you prefer them...

Josh Gordon
Steve Johnson
Pierre Garcon
Greg Jennings
Wes Welker
Danny Amendola

NON-PPR DYNASTY...thanks!

Wes Welker and Danny Amendola because they're talented mismatches with two of the best QBs ever throwing to them. If Welker playing with DT and Decker or Amendola's injuries scare you off then sub in Greg Jennings. Even if Christian Ponder remains mediocre-at-best, Jennings should perform well.

Thanks for the response. See my initial thoughts are those two are much more value at this point, yet in dynasty format I can't help but love Garcon and especially Gordon's potential...and even Steve Johnson in that offense. You like any of these guys at all or is this an easy choice for you in Amendola and Welker?

I just don't see any of the younger guys as proven enough to warrant being given priority over Welker, Amendola, or Jennings. You also have to think about both the now and later (a lot of people get too caught up in building for later rather than trying to build for both). Who knows how much Welker has in the tank due to age or Amendola because of all his injuries (though in his defense, a few of them have been freak injuries), but I'd still try to ride them or Jennings as long as I could and then replace them (which is perhaps easier to do at the WR position than other FF positions).

Pierre Garçon is way overrated. He's never been a 1,000 yard receiver, and probably will cap out his career never breaking 1,050 yards.

He did seem to be RG3's favorite target though. I'd easily take Welker as #1 and then probably Amendola, if I had to pick a 3rd I'm taking Steve Johnson. Jennings has injury problems too plus he plays in a run first AND 2nd offense

what do you consider the best draft position in a standard scoring 6 points for all TDs league, 12 team league?

I think if you draft smart then you can make any position work. I think the back end can be beneficial in that many typically still reach for a runningback at the top so you can still grab a QB that will put up more points. Right away, you're ahead of the others in the first round despite your drafting spot and you have an early second round selection.

but QB is still so deep this year, isn't it a waste of value to not cash in on a RB? My biggest problem with pick late, is you either get lucky that a back or 2 fell for your 2 picks or you could get stuck with a QB WR/TE, and that sucks bc ur RBs will be terrible. At least in my league they will go quick. I want the best 1st round pick RB I can get, preferably Martin if possible and still get a RB in round 2, but I know I cant get Ridley/Martin Sad

6 points for every TD really inflates the value of QBs. For one of the top 2 QBs, that's an extra 4 points every week over what they normally give you. If you feel it necessary to get a RB round one, you want to be towards the back end, so you can pick up one of the top QBs on the way back around before they're gone.

Trust me, 4-5 years ago I used to constantly win championships with the "wait and get a decent/undervalued QB late" strategy. With the passing game/QB play increasing and running game/RB play decreasing, it's a bit of a different ballgame. It does create a bit of an issue because RB is a lot more scarce than it once was, but that's the decision to make. QB that will score more points (and quite possibly be more "consistent") or make sure you have a RB?

The fact is that I have more faith in Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, or Peyton Manning than I do Alfred Morris or CJ Spiller. If you miss out on a QB high though, I'd try to target someone like Matt Ryan. If you miss out on him, your best bet is rolling the dice with a young gun like RGIII, Russell Wilson, or Andrew Luck. Late fliers to be had late are Matt Schaub or Philip Rivers, but they shouldn't begin as your #1 QB. In that one league I posted, I took Russell Wilson then grabbed Eli and Schaub as back-up plans (Rivers is a FA in it as well).

For reference, I've done two so far and here are my teams (along with my thoughts and concerns):

QB: Russell Wilson, Eli Manning, Matt Schaub
RB: C.J. Spiller, Alfred Morris, Zac Stacy
WR: Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Cecil Shorts, Sidney Rice, Jeremy Maclin, Justin Blackmon, Greg Little
TE: Kyle Rudolph
D/ST: Dolphins
K: Robbie Gould

QB - explained already
RB - I understand the irony with what I said. I'm really taking a swing here.
WR: Another swing, but I like my starters and my depth. I'll likely drop at least 1 early on to try to help out RB or TE.
TE: I like to carry two and I'm not thrilled about putting all my eggs on Rudolph.
D/ST & K: Face Browns week 1 and usually are an underrated D. Playing D/ST and K is about either consistency or weekly match-ups (thus constant transactions)

QB: Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Ray Rice, Darren McFadden, Darren Sproles, Giovani Bernard, Zac Stacy
WR: Marques Colston, Cecil Shorts, DeSean Jackson, Denarius Moore, Justin Blackmon
TE: Dennis Pitta, Dustin Keller
D/ST & K: Jaguars (as a joke, probably will adjust before week 1) & Nate Kaeding (complete joke) - I'm going week by week here

QB: Brees fell, I jumped on him. Ben is a good backup.
RB: I feel much better about my position distribution at both RB and TE on this team. Rice will be great again and I should get some kind of production elsewhere (a couple sleepers there). I'm also looking at Sproles to be more 2011ish in 2013 and I have double points possibility with him.
WR: A lot of swinging past Colston. Colston gives me consistency (albeit when healthy) and provides double points. Some scoff at that strategy, but the truth is that it works.
TE: Numbers game is better, but neither is a sure thing

My friend is doing his weird league where players get:

1 point per completion and 1 point per reception, but no points per carry.

I have the #1 pick, I've gotta take Drew Brees right?

Pretty much. With those settings, Brees is easily the #1 guy.

Welker should go really early too.

Yea and in this league you start 3 WRs, 2RBs and a flex RB/WR
