Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole reports Hakeem Nicks is unhappy with his contract, which is why he didn't show up to OTAs on Wednesday.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--wr-hakeem-nicks-skips-giants--workout--irritates-coach-tom-coughlin--234525717.html

Nicks is seeking a deal "closer to the range" of $10 million per year and possibly more, same as Victor Cruz who's also holding out.

Nicks is due to make $2.725 million on the final year of his rookie contract this season.

Well now... this makes things harder on the Giants. Do they have the cap room to lock up Cruz and Nicks to big contracts?

No reason for panic, the Giants are expected to re-sign WR Ramses Barden, it should take care of things.

A holdout, really? He has one year left. He just has to play well and he'll get a big contract, from the Giants or from someone else.

Consider Nicks's injury issues.

I'll take Nicks on the Bengals if they don't want him. Very Happy

Maybe he thinks the Giants will prevent him from reaching free-agency by tagging him? also he's obviously thinking about him been highly regraded player now and he doesn't want to lose value by suffering an injury that could end his season [like Michael Crabtree]

Nicks is screwing over Cruz by doing this. If the Giants had to choose which holdout to pay, it will definitely be Nicks. I understand it tho, he wants to get paid before Cruz eats up all the money allotted to the position. One of them is going to have to move, maybe not this year but certainly next off season. You can't pay two WRs that kind of money.

Two holdouts at the same position... I would not want to be the Giants GM right now.
