Brent Grimes and Richard Marshall are both fully practicing and are currently the starters on day one. Jamar Taylor is not signed and is not participating yet. Rashad Jones has already ended his holdout and is at the OTA's

Daniel Thomas and Charles Clay are participating fully. Lamar Miller getting most of the first team work as expected.

John Jerry is currently the starter at RG. Louis not participating fully yet. Neither is Thomas.

Vernon currently working as the starting DE with Odrick playing DT in place of Starks who is holding out still. Jordan won't be able to participate because of league rules and the school schedule.

Will Yeatman is playing OG.

Jimmy Wilson is the first team nickle CB right now.

Second team CB's so far are Patterson and Carroll. I expect that to change once Wilson gets back.

"He puts the ball right on the money and he's a good decision maker," Dustin Keller on Ryan Tannehill.

Of course he had Sanchez throwing to him before this so take it with a grain of salt.

Translations

Its nice having a QB who 1) throws the ball to the offense and 2)doesn't run into the backside of his guard and fumble.

Just getting it from Tweets

Omar was the most impressed today with Grimes, and his recovery speed and said Binns was making plays all over the field. He also said that Odrick looked like a beast collapsing the pocket from the DT position!

Tannehill looked crisp. Quick decisions. Accuracy wasn't a huge issue

Ellerbe lined up in the middle with Wheeler on the weak side and Misi playing the strong

He also said a kicker missed a field goal, but he couldn't see which one because it was raining.

Confused

DBs, WRs, and QBs are the only positions you should really be judging in OTAs and I agree it's a good sign that Grimes performed well day one.

Howdy bmack
Man I am really curious as to just how the Misi & Wheeler combo pack is going to pan out for us.

I have all the confidence in world in Ellerbe & I know Misi is solid but Wheeler ....?!?!
I know he is quick & athletic as he is said to be good dropping back in coverage but can he set the
edge & tackle is my question.

Can't wait
sug

Bmack already answered your curiosity SUG, Wheeler as a weak side defender will not be asked to set the edge frequently, his job is to pursue from the back side. If the offense runs weak side, the defensive end will likely hold contain and Wheeler will need to put his big boy pants on to plug the hole.
