I dont know why everyone is fond of Lewis.

He is gonna get cut and deserves to be cut, he is nothing special. He looked ok in his one game because no DC has ever seen him play in an NFL game so there was no way to game plan him. There is not some tape of him and coaches could come up with a way plan against him.

no thank you, I rather stick with Weeden, Campbell, and Hoyer

Lewis' QB Rating is 83.3
Hoyer's is 72.2

Hoyer is a couple years older and has attempted 90ish passes to Lewis' 30 something. Both have started one game.

Bottom line, no one knows for sure if either can be successful.

My bottom line, Yawn.

Thad has proven he's no worse than Hoyer, but he's younger and more athletic.

The guy can't even bring in a 3rd string QB without some sort of conspiracy theory being brought up.

To be fair, only one person has said that Hoyer should be starting, and his name is Lombardi

To be fair, he said starting over Colt McCoy. And he said that in December of 2011.

**EDIT
He also said he would take Hoyer over Kolb.

I think if I was still in the league and needed a quarterback, instead of chasing Kolb, I would chase Brian Hoyer of the Patriots. If teams evaluate New England's Week 17 game against Miami, they'd see that Hoyer demonstrates the skills needed to be a starter.

High praise indeed.

Great points.

Saying he would start him over McCoy in '11 has literally nothing to do with the current situation.

As far as Grossi, that hack isn't going anywhere. He's been an arsehat for as long as I can remember and even after the PD fires him he slips in chit and falls in gold with his ESPN gig. If there was ever reaffirming proof that ESPN has gone to hell, that surely has to be it.

well I take Hoyer, he is bigger and I say he has a better arm. Lewis may be the better athlete but I say Hoyer is the better overall QB.

I trust what hoyer did in college

I've learned the team that really wanted QB Brian Hoyer besides the #Browns was the #Jets.

I don't see the harm in bringing Hoyer in.

-If he stinks up the room, he's gone. It's not like he was expected to start.
-If he beats out Thad, he's a great #3 QB.
-If he shocks the world and beats out everyone, who knew?

No way we can lose, really.

Most teams rarely see their 3rd strong QB on the field. The Browns...
