Best safety on the board, will fit nicely in this secondary. _________________

With these next two pick I plan on taking the best overall value guys, in my opinion, left on the board. First of all, I will take Ray Rice, RB to pair with Mr. MVP Adrian Peterson and form the best RB duo in this league.
Secondly, I want to get another OL to keep building my foundation there. I see too much value in this pick to pass him up. I now have both first team all-pro OGs from last year. This pick is Jahri Evans, OG

WR Hakeem Nicks, New York
Not concerned about him not showing up to OTAs, he'll make an awesome pairing with AJ Green. _________________

With the 10th pick in round 12, the Mesopotamia Marauders select:
Mike Pouncey, C, Miami Dolphins
My last “#1 at his position” player available, he has a rare combination of mobility and strength. Being able to get out to the second level and engulf a linebacker (think Chris Myers or Ryan Kalil) as well as being able to move players off the LOS and stalemate nose tackles 1v1 (like Nick Mangold) and having the smarts for the line calls is not something everyone has, and he’s only 23. Take it from a pretty good source:
Vince Wilfork wrote: | It’s rare that you find a center that can pull out into the open field and can block DBs and linebackers, especially up front being able to orchestrate that offensive line and getting everybody in the right position that they need to be in…It’s hard to just know that he’s only two years in – that’s the scary thing |

With the 1st pick of round 13, the Mesopotamia Marauders select:
C.J Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills
This pick has been changed 4 times since I last picked (cue rude gestures towards the new owners of Hayward, Cobb, Nicks and McCoy), but I’m far from despondent with who I ended up with. Last year he went off for 6.0 YPC (1st) with 1703 yards from scrimmage (5th) on 250 touches (18th) and was 4th in broken tackles (via Football Outsiders). Rather than handing off on a draw to Alex Green, Rodgers will be giving it to the new Jamaal Charles…should be exciting! |
