http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/jets/2013/05/15/jets-rod-graves-hiring-front-office-john-idzik/2161091/

After just getting word of Idzik letting go of incumbent Assistant GM Scott Cohen, a Tanny hire, its been reported that Idzik will look to former Cards GM Rod Graves to fill that role with the Jets. Idzik worked under Graves in AZ, and now Graves will report to Idzik. There are also reports that Idzik could hire Tim Ruskell, formerly of Seattle and Chicago, in an unspecified FO role as well.

Cards fans, could you give us some input here? He won't be the main decision maker. But Graves' background is in scouting, which is not Idzik's forte, so it makes sense that he looked for a second in command with that background.

Good hire. Love to see Idzik assembling his team. We can call this the Mid-May Massacre. Laughing

Possibly Tim Ruskell too.

Tbh he's terrible. We don't have time to list every poor decision he's made whether thru FA, trade or the draft. Not really a big deal since he's not in a power position.

He is not as bad as many Cards fans would lead you to believe...he failed in some ways, but he added a lot of good players in his years here.

not a great GM, but he deserves to be employed in the NFL I think. And him and Idzik and Graves worked together in Arizona for a few years, so that makes sense.

This, he deserves to be employed but a limited role. There's more people to blame than Rod but this team has had so many holes for a long time. Warner briefly masked our flaws for 2-3 years but we still won no more than 10 games in maybe the worst division ever during that time.

He had a history of ignoring the offensive line. People blamed Ken Whisenhunt for it, but in reality Graves had been ignoring the offensive line long before Ken was hired.

He knows the business, he has relationships in the NFL, he got some pretty good internal contract extensions done (Daryl Washington).

He has good points and bad points. I don't think he deserves to run a football team any longer given his long history of struggles in Arizona, but he should be a solid guy to have in the front office.

Good thing we are relatively set on the OL. We just spent 3 draft picks on offensive linemen this year.
