Looks like the Chargers are bringing in Dwight Freeney for a visit after the Ingram injury. This is the first I've heard from Freeney in a while but it's not unusual for veterans to struggle to find homes in Free Agency as their careers are winding down.

actually, i agree with b_rent.

I don't think anyone should be allowed to break news on FF until someone has broken the news on FF to make it official.

Very unfortunate for him.

Might be just me, but I kind of expect SD to finish with a top 5 pick come 2014 draft...

Laughing

I don't think I'll ever want to agree with him.

Well, they kinda have to now.

Ingram is a huge loss to a team already lacking in pass rushers, especially considering Ingram wasn't very good his rookie year, either.

There you go get the info correct on the first try

#billyenvy running rampant. It gets pretty old.

Too bad for Ingram and the Bolts. Never want to see stuff like this go down.

Can you guys please return to just talking football? Are there any bargain pass rushing options left out there?

Tough break for the Chargers and Ingram. I was excited to see how Te'o and Ingram played together for San Diego's LB corps. Signing Freeney would be interesting, although I'd prefer him to go to Denver.

Well, Freeney is about the only pass rusher who has experience playing OLB that is worth a damn still on the market... there's always John Abraham, but he's played his entire career as a DE as I recall. It's pretty slim pickens after that.

Tough break (well a tear really but you know what I mean) for the kid. I'm sure Denver had hopes of him being a significant contributor this year.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one Wink

Big blow to their already lackluster defense.

I either want my team to be the worst or the best no 8-8 season and getting 12th pick. I would love to get Clowney, that would upgrade the pass rush big time.

That's just unfortunate. I didn't see any Chargers games last year I have no idea how he played but losing your entire season before you even get the chance to play blows hard. Hope he can heal quickly.

I'll sum it up for you... 1 sack. Ingram was non-existent last season, but he was a hard worker and was expected to improve this year, as a starter (he was used as a rotational pass rusher last year).

I guess now they have to hope Larry English develops...

*chirp chirp*

In short, the Chargers pass rush goes from awful to non-existent, unless they get a free agent pass rusher like Freeney.
