Not a huge loss would be nice to have him but I can see why he'd want to go back to where he started.

Disappointing because I thought there was a niche role he could fill here. Yet, ultimately this is not something to cry over. I think we're pretty stacked in the secondary and this gives one of the young guys a chance to carve out a role for himself.

Well, then let's take a look at former Rams veteran and still FA Quintin Mikell. Probably has left more in the tank than Woodson.

Interesting that the Raiders had about $6M in cap space before signing Woodson or finishing all rookie contracts.

When the contracts are finished, the team will be very near the salary limit. But Raiders are still carrying $46M in dead money contracts. I expect that the Raiders will be very active in free agency for years to come as they need to replace players.

But Huff is a June first cut and drops 8 million so we have room. next year we will have anywhere from 60-80 million in cap space.

Dissapointed but I can respect him going to Oakland, sounds like he still has a lot of ties in the area. He already has a ring, and there is more to life than just football.

He would have watched the Super Bowl from home if he signed with Denver too. Laughing

He was already cut and signed with the Ravens.

Huff was a decent player. Played CB last season and did a fine job without complaining. Think we were all a little surprised when he was let go, but his Al Davis contract wasn't making matters easier.

Dude. He's been gone since Free Agency, He was designated as a post June 1st cut to save against the cap. He's been a Raven for months. I do think he was probably one of our best defensive players last year, and would call him decent for the most part. On a better team, he'll probably look better too.

New strategy for free-agency:

Quote:
Woodson: I was actually scared of leaving the facility and not having a deal done. I donít know if I would have made it out of there.
