As I mentioned we will have 1 Non-Player, 1 Player, and 2 open spots. This first vote is for the Non-Player.

This is the first vote.

Don't think anyone can think of the Cowboys as a franchise without thinking of Tom Landry. He gets my vote.

I think there could be a debate. Yes.

The Man in the Hat is iconic, no doubt. But could an argument not be made that this brash, love'm or hate'm, mentality is best attributed to Jimmy?

(That Said, I voted for the man in the hat)

Not. Even. Debatable.

Landry.

Love Jimmy as much as the next guy and I'll give him credit for what he was able to accomplish. That said, Johnson was at the right place, at the right time. Aikman in the draft and the #1 pick. A stud and fmr Cane in Irvin and he was able to absolutely fleece the Vikings into the most lopsided trade ever. Johnson was great for a short period, Landry was for 2 decades.

Only person I would consider close is Schramm, but I just can't give the first spot to anyone besides Landry.

Landry has to be it. I still remember him being introduced as "the only Head Coach the Dallas Cowboys will ever need..." and I think that's true.
