Today, LB Brandon Jenkins and S Bacarri Rambo are officially signed! This thread will be an update on who's been signed to the Redskins and was drafted this year. The team also waived WR Jason Thompson.

EDIT: Now Chris Thompson has signed with us as well. He was our 5th round pick along with B. Jenkins
EDIT 2: Jawan Jamison has signed as well. He was our 7th round pick.
EDIT 3: DBs David Amerson and Phillip Thomas has signed as well. They were our 2nd and 4th pick, respectively.
EDIT 4: TE Jordan Davis has signed, making all the rookie draft pick signed.

Huh ... guess the kid from New Haven who just caught TDs couldn't catch a break here. Oh well. Good luck to him.

The Redskins did not release terms of the contract, but the worth of the deal is similar to the four-year, $2.3 million contract that last year’s 154th overall pick – Seattle linebacker Kory Toomer – signed.

Chris Thompson signed! Didn't see any physical action in rookie camp, but he and Jamison are going to be nice additions to our backfield Cool

I hope Chris gets and stays healthy. That's my greatest concern with him. If he's healthy, I agree, he's going to be an awesome compliment to Alfred Morris.

I'll say Phillip Thomas will be next. Then Jamison. Then Reed and Amerson at the same time. Smile

I hope we get the other 3 done soon. My guess is:

1st- Thomas
2nd- Reed
3rd- Amerson

I'll go in opposite draft order

I did hear that they expect Thompson to be healthy enough to participate in training camp, so that's good.

He told me earlier this month that he's already running and cutting but won't participate fully in OTAs and minicamp. He does, however, expect to receive medical clearance before training camp. It’s also important to point out that Thompson and Helu are likely fighting for one job. The guy who makes the 53 could ultimately come down to which one is healthiest.

Looks that way! Cool Assuming we keep three backs like we did last year, what do you think the chances of going with Morris and the two rookies are?

I'd feel very comfortable with Morris and any 2 of Helu Jr, Thompson or Jamison.

And if one or more of those go down, we still have Royster and Keiland to fall back on, who know the system well. I think Tristan Davis' days are numbered, his main asset seems to be as a returner and I think we'll be fine there.

Likewise, but I still say that Reed and Amerson will be signed on the same day at the same time: May 21st. Cool

As DCRED said in another thread, I'm never going to guess with Shanahan and Rbs. I think the chances are as good as any that both rookies make the team.

If I had it my way though, I'd be looking to put Jamison in the practice squad unless he does an Alfred Morris from last year.
