Ware and Beastly working on beating a WR jam.

Ware is up 7 LBs to 262. Says he thinks he can play *FASTER* at DE.

@Army_MP_Cowboy: @BryanBroaddus what's the new plan for 1 Tech with release of Price today? Lissemore and who?" Sounds like Hatcher.

Jason Ramirez ‏@BigBackJay 14h
@BryanBroaddus @Army_MP_Cowboy so Ratliff can play NT but not 1 tech? I think he'll be 1 and Hatcher will be 3

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 13h
@BigBackJay I have been told different. I have always viewed Hatcher as the 3 so we will see when we get to OTAs.

william hopkins ‏@irish5cowboy 11h
@BryanBroaddus what's crawfords weight nowadays?I know as a 3-4 d,end they said his weight had to go up & I wondered if he was close nweight

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 11h
@irish5cowboy he is over 300 pounds. They have him playing at LDE.

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 7 May
@gmoneythomas I need to see about Price. Crawford is going to play DE and maybe some 1. Albright going to work at all positions.

^^^ Hatcher and Lisse the 1 tech. Very interesting.

LT Tyron Smith isn't only #Cowboys OL taking karate lessons this off-season. So is Nate Livings, Mackenzy Bernadeau and Jermey Parnell.

The four #Cowboys OL are following in the footsteps of former Cowboys Randy White and Larry Allen, hoping to increase hand quickness.

#Dallas #Cowboys LT Tyron Smith says he wants to add 10 pounds this off-season to play at 315 in 2013 to help with his run-blocking.

Quote:
Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Callahan on first round pick Travis Frederick:

Just like we thought coming out of the draft, hes real smart and intelligent. He can vocalize all the calls and communications and sequences. So that was a real positive note. As I watched him in all the team drills today how he IDs the Mike, how he finds the Mike linebacker. He makes the point, he makes all the calls, he puts everybody on the same page. So Im impressed from that standpoint day one, just to get out and start talking in front of all these new people and players, with all the coaches and pressure on you. I thought he did pretty good.

Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin on returning to the practice field for the first time in three years:

Its exciting to be out here again. Weve got some work to do. But I love the attitude of these young men. Theyre here to work and they did a good job. Weve got something to work with.

Defensive backs coach Jerome Henderson on third-round pick J.J. Wilcox having one year of experience at safety:

You see the athleticism. For a big guy, he can really run. He has really good ball skills, and that probably comes from playing with the ball in his hands a lot those other three years in college. You see hes a physical man, that he likes the physical part of the game. A lot of times when you see offensive guys make the jump, it takes them a little while to figure that part out. That came natural for him. When you watch him play, youre like, Oh God, hes going to kill somebody, and thats what I like about the young man.

It's nice to hear but living in Philly, I'm hearing all of the same things out of the Iggles coaches and players. I guess it is just the norm for many teams this time of year. They are all saying the same thing. I mean, do you really think any of them are saying things are going poorly at mincamps?

But again, anything positive is good news.

Everyone is amazing this time of year. Don't you remember all the hype bs about what great camps Bobbie Carpenter was having, and how he was gonna break out every year? He's not even in the nfl now.

Impossible that Ware is helping the Promise one! It's probably the other way around.

Hopefully those classes will help, especially Bernadeau and Livings. I guess with them wanting Smith to bulk up, we're going to be running more MBS this season which makes sense with the addition of Frederick.

Witten article

Quote:
It's not Michael Irvin (591 receptions, ranked 21st). It's not Jerry Rice (610, 18th), nor is it Marshall Faulk (673, 8th). All of those Hall of Famers are eclipsed by one of the most underrated receivers in the modern NFL: Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has 806 receptions, the most by any player in NFL history through age 30.

Had no idea Witten stood atop that list.

the NFL implemented that last year. Practice Jersey's can have 1 sponsorship logo on the Practice Jersey, so long as it's the same Logo on all Jersey's.

Last year, we had AT&T corporate logos on the practice jerseys. Probably some sort of sponsorship deal. Here are a few from last year...

Witten

Romo

Claiborne

Phillips

Buncha Guys

Incredicole

Apparently Frederick weighed in at 317 the other day. That's a big center.
