I think this would be a good idea.

@RichCimini: Winters at LG, Campbell at RG. Weird seeing 65 at right guard and not Brandon Moore. #Jets

Winters was my favorite pick of the draft, so I'm really rooting for him to start day 1. Would be great if Campbell was ready to start, but I doubt that.

My focus is on the OLB's, TE's, and Fs's.

I think Winters will be the opening day starter at LG, much like how Slauson was. And Winters was a better prospect than Slauson.

Slauson didn't start until his second season.

Any idea where they see Aboushi playing? Are they gonna groom him for RT or G? I don't think Ducasse is gonna work out and I like Campbell's size and skill set but I doubt he's ready so that leaves Peterman and Aboushi for the RG spot as competition for Colon. Alot of talk was that Aboushi was too slow for OT but could excel at G. We could use someone to push Howard and if Colon can hold down the RG spot we could let Campbell develop for a year.

O-line is gonna be interesting for sure.

Yeah still I think the job is his to lose. He's got to prove it on the field though.

Ohhhh, that's right, we had Faneca his first year didn't we? Geez that seems like a while ago.

I think Aboushi will be our jumbo tackle this year.

Yeah, I think he was drafted to be RT insurance, in case Howard leaves in FA after this season. He may take some snaps at OG, but I think he is a more natural fit at RT in the NFL. Plus we do already have a logjam at OG already.

Let's hope Rogers is better than the last #15.

And Davis is better than the last #58. Wink

Maybe a long shot, but I really like his potential and I think he can grow into one of our full time OLBs in a few seasons.

Rich Cimini ‏@RichCimini 9m
Geno Smith 11-for-15 in 7 on 7s, mostly under center. Mostly short stuff. Good zip. Decent ball placement. No major mistakes. #Jets

I like Geno's demeanor from what I read from the reports today. He seems like he doesn't care what the media says or how they portray him, he just wants to ball.

Quote:
Ryan singled out first-round DT Sheldon Richardson (Missouri) and undrafted WR Zach Rogers (Tennessee) as first-day standouts. Rogers is a crafty slot receiver with a knack for getting open. He also wears No. 15, Tim Tebow's old number -- another reason that made him conspicuous. Richardson was used in different spots along the defensive line, including nose tackle.
