Some notes
- read the part about Tate (after Arian went down)
- need to take a closer look at Willie Jefferson

That's the way I read it (but Orhian Johnson looks to be getting some reps as well)

Steph Stradley did a piece on AJ's #'s (and other Texans) and had some KLASSIK tweets / responses (esp. 1 about Innegan)

Quote:
Texans S D.J. Swearinger has earned the praise of his coaches throughout OTAs.
With Ed Reed out due to a hip injury, Swearinger has been taking reps with the first-team defense. Coach Gary Kubiak describes Swearinger as having "a ton of confidence. He just walks out here like he belongs, and he does. Hes got a ton of ability. Hes a smart player." Although he'll return to the second-team in base packages upon Reed's return, Kubiak says the plan is to use the rookie in their dime packages going forward. Expect Swearinger to see time on defense and special teams this season.

newest article on houstontexans.com says that Manning and Keo are our starting safties and Swearinger is working in the dime package. I hope that Reed replaces Keo and that is that, im hoping that Keo doesnt move to our dime Safety

Yeah I read that. He says he can run for days now that he is healed. That's good to hear.

Wait. What happened to Swearinger and Manning being the starting safeties in OTA's? Kubiak even said that Swearinger would move to the dime safety when Reed comes back. Keo starting there is a head scratcher. Confused Heck, I'd rather see Pleasant back there than Keo.

Swearinger getting heavy reps at dime helps him get used to playing in the position he will be put in during the season rather than a makeshift position that he'll move away from when Reed gets healthy. Better for him to get used to the position that he'll 100% play first than one which there's a fraction of that chance that he'll play heavily.

Good read, sounds like our RT and K are the two biggest areas of need

Also sounds like the Ed Reed deal might end up being a bad thing in the long run
