http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/08/browns-sign-rashad-butler/

Tackle Rashad Butler has missed 30 of the last 32 games after tearing his triceps twice and heíll be trying to get his career back on track in Cleveland this season.

Butlerís agent Ken Sarnoff tweeted out congratulations to Butler on signing a deal with the Browns. No financial terms have been announced for the deal with Butler, who entered the league as a third-round pick of the Panthers in 2006. He never played for Carolina, joining the Texans the next year and playing in 42 games with Houston.

Butler had a shot to become the right tack

Browns are bring in a buttload of offensive line talent, prolly hoping at least 1 or 2 of them can make it as a guard lol

I know nothing about this particular injury.

Is it like Jackson's pecs...is there surgery/therapy that will correct it?

Rashad Butler loves him some Rashad Butler.

He could be a decent veteran backup if he's healed, or he could just be a camp body. Really hoping he (or anybody really) can make Oneil Cousins a former Brown.

Agree.

It would be a clear sign of OL improvement.

Between this guy and Chris Faulk and whoever else, we will hopefully find the backup tackle that we have needed for a while.

Butler has the experience. Faulk probably has more talent. Both have injury issues. It will definitely be something to watch during training camp.

We need more depth [maybe a starter or two at guard] on the off. line.

Even though I wanted Warford in the worst way, I really like what they've done with the OL this year.

Nice beginning!

I agree

While I get the strategy of taking chances on a lot of long shots and hoping one of them hits, another strategy -- taking a favorite (e.g., Orb in the Kentucky Derby) -- usually works better over the long run, so to speak!
