Don't worry, a different food topic will begin tomorrow. Cheese appreciation day is nearing completion.

Little too late Sasha Grey.

I'm hosting the Cowpokes, and once that gets closer, I'll start up our awards.

Yeah, Im lazy and dumb. I apologize.

Without further ado, the food of the day is something I just ate.....MCGRIDDLES!! A beacon of light in the form of pancakes, maple syrup, cheese, bacon or sausage, and eggs. Which do you prefer (bacon or sausage)? I heard a rumor that they were discontinued? This was just a sick joke right? Please discuss your love of MCGRIDDLES.

I haven't had breakfast fast food since before I joined this forum. It was May 2009 and this girl and I skipped our college class and I took her to McDonalds because she wanted a hash brown. I don't remember what I got. I only remember when it was because I thought my girlfriend at the time was going to make a big deal out of it, but she was really cool with it.

Anyway, I actually make breakfast sandwiches a lot, just almost never for breakfast. Two eggs, scrambled and cooked in the microwave (that's how you make them like McDonalds does), cheese and if I'm lazy some ham or whatever lunch meat I have. But if I'm actually taking the time to do something nice, I'll break out some bacon and good sausage and do both on one. If I had to choose... "Fresh" sausage = bacon > premade sausage > maple flavored sausage.

Maple flavored sausage is pretty awful if I have more than one or two. But maple syrup on a regular sausage is solid.

So, you've never had a mcgriddle....that's just crazy talk.

I'm team bacon all the way. Then again I've never had "fresh" sausage before, just premade. I do need to get back on my breakfast sandwich grind. Used to make them every morning, now I just eat oatmeal or scrambled eggs.

The maple syrup mixed in the pancakes on the mcgriddle is magical. I try to stay away from them because I normally eat very clean but, I was running late since I couldn't sleep after that game last night. Moving real slow today.

You can tell I haven't slept. Leaving stuff out. Yes, I've had a McGriddle. It's just been years. Probably close to 10 years.

I don't think fresh is the right word either. But you buy sausage meat just like you would hamburger, season it and make it into patties. Cook that up on the stove and it's wonderful.

And since we're on the topic... A burger (meatloaf too for that matter) that is half sausage and half hamburger >>>>>>>
