Undrafted lineman Embernate hopes he can stick with Steelers

Quote:
“Going back to college, the way I played hard, physical, tough — that's what the Steel City is all about,” Embernate said. “That's what I kind of feel myself as: a blue-collar worker. I've got my lunch pail going to work every day, just trying to get better and help out no matter what way I can.”

I'm pulling for him seems like a great UDFA pick up. Could be one of those that make a impact like the Steelers have had in the past.

I'm sure every player on our roster hopes they can "stick".

Good attitude, but still an extreme longshot.

I believe he will stick the Steelers lack depth all across the OL and they've brought in a ton of UDFA OL. But didn't draft a single one in the draft or sign any FAs. I know the off season is far from over, but you would think with new OL coach that would be a key of emphasis.

Its almost a guarnatee that one of the UDFAs will stick due to our lack of depth, but if none of them show much, they will likely bring in a FA for depth.

but he was brought in for an interview. I think he has a good chance to make the PS.

I think his injury concerns probably left him undrafted. Great chance for a UDFA though, that's who you go after

This is the nastiest OL out of the draft. Technique gets sloppy at times but he will flat out beat your [inappropriate/removed] the entire game.

Is Ryan Lee from Furman playing anyhwere this season? I remember we all liked him the best and thought he was going to make the team because he played center and guard

It's hard to tell at this point about udfa's we have to wait to see what we hear in offseason buzz about prospects and what we see duringt he preseason fire knowing who will "stick" or who has no shot

I don't think this guy is a longshot TBH.
He has movement skills, power and the attitude to stick.
I bet makes the final 53 as a backup to the RG/LG spots.

Reminds me of Willie Colon with his nasty approach and how he bullies defenders. Can pull and get to the second level. Guy has skills and maybe he was a charcter risk but I would have drafted him in the later rounds.
