As rookie Duane Brown was our 4th lowest ranked LT. Trent Williams 9th lowest. Both top 15 last year. Let's not write off Martin so soon.

Food for thought....

And food for thought on Clabo:

Switching to zone blocking scheme shouldn't be tough for Clabo. Was on DEN practice squad from 2004-05, and played for Alex Gibbs in ATL

Solid player that has been consistent for years. Good luck Clabo except week 3.

These signings allow us to plug for one year and fix more holes next off season. We will have plenty of cap space to resign some of these guys next season if need be.

I really like the direction we are headed this year. Martin is our LT of the future now.

Our offense goes as the OL does. With Wallace / Miller / Gillislee / Keller / Hartline it has the potential to be explosive, if that the OL comes together and gels.

No it doesn't. Our offense goes as Tannehill does. Period. End of story.

Hey, Matt Ryan had a nice season last year. He couldn't have been a total scrub.

If nothing else, hes not Columbo Wink

I look at it like this....the team goes into next season with 2 pro-bowlers, one who was snubbed and strong position battles at the other two positions each with guy who started last season.

Martin----Incognito-----Pouncey-----Position Battle------Clabo

Should be very solid....

As long as Martin has gotten much stronger and he learns from last season I suspect he will be at least no worse then Long was last season.

Clabo should be an upgrade to how Martin played at RT last year so overall it's hard to say our o-line hasn't improved.

LOL.

This should be how we evaluate every future OT we sign/draft.

What do you think of:

Martin / Thomas / Pouncey / Incognito / Clabo

Truth be told, i never liked Incognito. Hard Knocks made it worse. He comes off as a bully. I can't wait til his Dolphin days are over.

He may be, but you need a guy like that on the o-line....someone who looks like he may beat the living [inappropriate/removed] out of someone for looking cross at his QB.

As for the line....I'm fine with whoever starts at guard....at least we know he was the best of the guys competing....

A rookie next to Martin is a recipe for disaster. Leave Incognito at LG. After this season he is a FA so if Thomas came along well let him walk and Thomas can start next season.

Louis probably won't be fully recovered to start the season so odds are Jerry is our RG.
