Not that it means much...

Quote:
Though hes not there yet, the NFC scout said Morris could make himself a second-rounder if he keeps improving: He will have the strongest arm in the draft next year. And he can move, another scout said of his mobility. He wins games.

Is this true or will others have more arm strength?

Anyone who watched the Miami/NC State game last year knows the answer to this question:

Logan Thomas says hi. He couldn't hit a brick wall if it were right in front of him, but his arm is far and away the strongest.

Having watched every game Stephen has played while at The U, I think he has a legit chance at being a 1st round pick. He's improved so much since he got there as just a 3* prospect. He's a great leader with good size and good mobility. Obviously the arm speaks for itself and with NFL scouts saying he has the strongest arm in next years draft proves it. He has a rocket arm. Jedd Fisch really improved Morris's game. We'll see how he does this year with a new OC but if he leads The U to a ACC Championship game and continues to improve, no reason he can't go in the 1st round.

He has a chance to be special.

Best arm talent in the draft. Outstanding zip to all levels and throws the deep ball on a line. High character with good academics and excellent toughness. Played hurt this year and will hang in the pocket. Not a runner but has sub-4.6 speed. Seasoned pro-style quarterback who has been around NFL QB coaches his whole career.

The big negative with him is inconsistent accuracy. He came into Miami raw and, like many strong armed quarterbacks, tried to throw a fastball every time. There were times this year (his first as a starter) where he got jumpy and his fundamentals left him.

However, he has worked extremely hard on polishing his game and has looked outstanding the last three weeks of the season and through spring. Someone on Twitter made a Colin Kaepernick comparison, and it is apt in terms of a strong-armed former pitcher working hard to improve his accuracy. Morris isn't a runner like Kaepernick, but his makeup is similar and they both possess cannons.

IDK about the strongest arm, but I really like him. You guys think he comes out with all the QB talent, though?

He'll have to considering he's a senior and I don't see alot of QB talent as many seem to think. You have the #1 in Teddy with a bunch others battling for #2 with Morris, Fales, etc.

Morris will not be battling for the second QB rankings barring some unforseen run by Miami as a whole.

Logan Thomas can throw a ball through a cinder block wall.

He can't HIT the wall, but he can throw it through it. So no, based purely on arm strength, Morris isn't the best in this class.

But he's up there.
