This guy will make his living on separation by precision and quiet production. DHB is the polar opposite.

Steve Largent?

Ya, my statement was only once the ball was in their hands (securley). Everything else is different.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Don Beebe, Steve Tasker...... um. Dang, running out of vanilla WRs.

I read an article that said people only put him inside and compare him to Welker because of his skin color. Seems like a guy with a big chip on his shoulder and wants to prove he can play anywhere.

If this guy can come in run solid routes, work the middle of the field and catch the rock...I don't care if the kid is green, I just want someone that can keep those chains moving...

Are we just naming slot WR's? Or any white WR's?

Ed McCaffery needs mentioning. Probably my favorite Bronco of all time... God that makes me feel dirty.

I think skin tone has nothing to do with it. Rolling Eyes

Its production people think he can be a 100 REC a year kind of guy playing in the slot blame Mel Kiper, and a few other people for the comparison.

So they put him in a box cause of who he is, oh well, it happens to " swag " quarterbacks all the time. Every single year.

Looking at Vernon, I would guess him to be a slot WR based purely on his size/speed combo. If you are not overly fast, then you better be tall enough to outmatch DBs. If you are slower and smallish, then your only real option is in the slot because at least there a slow WR matches up favorably against the average LB and nickleback.
