PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a domestic dispute in which a woman claims she was the victim of an incident involving Arizona Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington.

When police arrived at the scene Wednesday Washington had already left. No arrests have been made and police are looking for Washington.

No other details are available at this time.

His Ex-Girlfriend had marks on her neck consistent with "choking".

Lets see where this leads. Lets try to keep talks on football and how this could affect Daryl and the team.

"victim of an incident." That's about as vague as it gets. I'll reserve judgement. Hope it turns out to be nothing.

These days in America your guilty till proven innocent. Sucks that anyone has to deal with this let alone our 2nd best player. Hopefully he didn't hurt her.

I wonder if the Minter pick had anything at all to do with his suspension. It had to play some factor...

This looks like it is a developing case as in developing right now. I doubt this had any impact on the draft.

I said the suspension. If he never got popped in early-April it's hard to believe we address the same position as our best defender so early in the draft. Maybe they had reason to believe he was going downhill or something.

Sorry, misread. Maybe it did, but it is not like we were not short on ILB's pre draft. We had Washington/Walker/Brinkley on the roster. We needed to add another player to the fold there.

no good but this might be nothing. I believe AZsports jumped the gun on a police incident with police and a member of the Suns.

On the other hand the drafting of Minter makes you wonder.

Hoping its nothing, but it doesn't look good for D-Wash. This is a guy who is suppose to be our leader, especially now with Wilson gone. Drug suspensions and chocking ex- girlfriends is not something a leader does.

I really don't like the fact that he is on the run, he needs to meet with police and get this figured out.

Holy crap - innocent until proven guilty yes, I'll keep reminding myself that but at a distance this looks terrible. I still can't believe Steve Keim mentioned D-Wash when talking about the stabilizing influence of the team on Tyrann Mathieu. I'm afraid Keim is setting himself up to learn a hard lesson as a rookie GM.

ProFootballTalk says the accuser has been arrested previously for attacking a boyfriend.

The radio stated he will meet with police later today. Odd string of events. Hoping it's nothing.

Mike Jurecki ‏@mikejurecki 1m

Phx Police SGT Steve Martos "Really nothing new to report. There has been no arrest and we have not interviewed Mr. Washington as if yet."

Ill wait to be disappointed until we know the truth. As of now it seems like something that got over blown
