I dunno. I think we keep Gabbert around next year to "compete" with Teddy but in the end be our backup. And then third string will just be Matt Scott or someone like him.

I don't think it will happen next year, but it's completely reasonable that it may.

Then neither of us see us taking two QBs
meaning we agree

I can see it happening. I'm very flexible in how I view the draft.

Yeah, i really could see it going a few different directions next year.

Gabbert as the backup is certainly not outside the realm of possibility. But if things continue as they have thus far, that Gabbert thing may be a chapter they just want to close out entirely and move on. No distraction even having him around anymore. Clean slate, no skeletons lurking in the closet. Nothing resembling the Jets offseason QB shenanigans.

I could also see them targeting a more 'veteran' backup to have around as an 'experienced voice' to help our new rookie QB with the transition however they can.

Or, i could see them going with a 2nd rookie QB in the draft. Someone with the 'smarts' but maybe lacking a bit in the 'tools' department. A Bryn Renner type maybe in the mid or later rounds. A la the RGIII + Cousins double-up.

Hopefully they won't make the mistake of bringing Henne back, or another Henne-type. Personally i think someone like Noodle-Arm McCoy would be an interesting fit behind someone like Bridgewater. Not a 'challenger', but a backup, with a bit of a balance between youth and experience. Wouldn't be terrible as a 'game manager' if it came to that due to injury, but there wouldn't be any pressure at all to start him if/when there's a rough patch. Free Agent next summer. But there are other options out there in that same vein i'm sure. *shrug*

I think a more 'veteran' and established as a 'backup' guy would probably be the best and hopefully most likely scenario, with Gabbert moving on.

I don't like that mock draft , its safe but I don't like it.
I really like Telvin Smith in fact I'm kinda surprised you have him going so late granted I haven't watched him a ton. Where do you see him lacking?

Ronald Powell has alot of untapped potential I expect/hope that he'll turn it on here down the season, but if he doesn't that would be a steal in the 4th.

I like the idea of investing early and often on the IOL, seems like this is going to be necessary.

In the end I really like this draft, it's a solid building blocks type draft that you need in the second year of a rebuild. We would be able to go all out in 2015 for a stud pass rusher.

Well with Telvin Smith I love him too but every year guys drop that should'nt, its nothing that he's lacking I really want him for the Jags. Ronald Powell has tremendous potential. Its A smart draft but I would prefer the latest draft I put down.

Don't know too much about Stork, but other than that I wouldn't mind that draft. I feel like we need to go LEO earlier but i'm a big Beasley fan. Think he lasts that late?

Morris is a boss, so I'd love to see him go to Jacksonville.
