Figured this would be a good threat to discuss players we are targeting in FA after the draft.

For example Roto is reporting that we have been in contact with Ramses Barden, which I am definately not against.

Also Idzik said he hasn't ruled out Braylon.

Haven't heard anything yet but I am sure we will be hearing about interesting in a S or a TE as well.

Bray would make sense since he knows the team well and would be cheap. Barden would be interesting, he is bigger than Bray but doesn't have the speed.

I would like for us to sign Bray. He can mentor Hill on how to improve his catching and still be a factor in this offense. Liked by fans & players. I really can't think of another WR who would make more sense to sign.

He still looked good with a bad QB & hamstring last season.

Barden definately isn't a burner, but at this point in their careers he might be about as fast as Braylon(depending on Braylons troublesome knee). Barden however is a huge target, and looked a lot better in his limited playing time last year. Seems like he could finally be learning how to use his big body, could be kind of a pre jail Plaxico for us.

No QB's are needed.
No RB's are needed.
Ovie Mughelli would be nice, but not necessary.
Brandon Lloyd, Steve Breaston, Devery Henderson and Early Doucet could probably all make some impact in some way.
Visanthe Shiancoe, Dante Rosario, Travis Beckum, Kellen Winslow and Kevin Boss could all make some impact. Id love to roll the dice on Winslow.
No offensive tackles are needed.
Brandon Moore and Leonard Davis for some depth.
No centers are needed.
Richard Seymour, Sione Pouha, Casey Hampton and Ty Warren to beef up the defensive line, though all are extremely doubtful.
John Abraham, Dwight Freeney and Travis LaBoy for pass rush. Again all doubtful.
Chris Carr for secondary.
No real safeties in free agency, though Id love Charles Woodson.

Well we have cap room. Add some cheap pieces that can help us win.

Nice I was spot on about Barden (guess Idzik saw my post). Glad we are looking into him. He played well when the Giants were banged up last year and if nothing else would be a solid redzone target at 6'6". I really hope we get him into camp.

Actually even more so than Edwards. I think Barden is coming into his own and that size is a huge weapon for him. I love Braylon but he's on the wrong side of 30 and has a bad knee. Give me the guy with upside. That is what this season is about right. Give these young guys a shot and see if any of them are worth keeping next year.

Definitely think we'll hit on a few of them so the more we have the better chance we have of finding a few gems.

Ya Barden could make up for us not having a Big dominant TE in the redzone. Even Plax who was a shadow of himself still was nice for us in the red zone.

Yeah the Jets have already had "discussions" on Barden, so that's a good start.

I prefer the Jets to wait until after the June 1st cuts are in before deciding to add more pieces. There are always a few high salaried good players getting cut after June 1. The biggest ones I am looking for is Tony Scheffler of Detroit. He would fit right into the starting TE role. Bent Celek could also be a possibility. I like Ramses Barden as a red zone target. Braylon Edwards also deserves a shot to get on team.

1. Charles Woodson
2. Braylon Edwards
3. Kellen Winslow

if we could somehow add those 3, and get decent QB play we could have a winning season.

Lol never gonna happen tho

I think Woodson would fill our most glaring need though.

Winslow 2nd most glaring

Braylon is just a good option and he can still get open.

As for WR's, I would keep an eye out for the 49ers cuts. They have Boldin, Crabtree, AJ Jenkins, Manningham, and Kyle Williams. I have a feeling that either Mario or Kyle will get cut.

TE's: Tony Scheffler (They will need the cap space), John Carlson, and Evan Moore are potential cuts.

FS's: Kurt Coleman & Nate Allen (Eagles signed Phillips & Chung).

I would LOVE Woodson, that pick would make me very happy and give us possibly a top 5 D

I would be ok with bringing Braylon back, I am not going to be tapdancing around or anything but it would be a good pick up

Signing Winslow would be make me the opposite of happy. I never thought he was that great to begin with, and that was before his knees fell apart. On top of that he is a mental midget, i would honestly rather throw Hayden Smith out there and let him develop at our expense.

I really want us to go after Brent Celek, they just drafted Ertz and he has experience in MM system
