I honestly think that Tebow would do better in Jacksonville than Gabbert.. Put him in an option offense with MJD and Denard and I'm willing to bet that he would be more productive than Gabby at the helm.

Yeah, he could be the fullback for those two. Wink

I've never been happier we signed Matt Cassel. If he stops Tebow from coming here I would be happy even if we payed him $10 mill a year!

But serously, Spielman wouldn't be interested anyways. Tebow isn't an NFL worthy QB and the media circus that follows is crazy, it would have been "Tebow should replace Ponder" 24/7. Tebow should have been out of the league a year ago.

How can you blame Spielman for thinking that way, when he has such a solid quarterback situation as things are? Rolling Eyes

They claim that there is parity in the NFL, but in reality there are two types of teams - those that do have a franchise quarterback, and those who desperately want to find one. Is there really any question which category the Vikings fall into?

We saw in 2009 what this team can do with a great quarterback under center. Why in the world would Spielman close his mind to the possibility of bringing in a quarterback who would come at a very low price, and who led the Denver Broncos further than Peyton Manning has? It makes no sense.

Some teams win, and some teams are destined to be perennial "also-rans". Unfortunately, Spielman's response just made it very apparent which category our team falls into.

is there really any question as to whether Tebow is a franchise QB or not?

Scott Mitchell had a great year for the Dolphins once as a backup coming in after injury to the starter. he was a free agent the next year so Detroit grabbed him to make him their "franchise QB."

wonder where he is now...?

You are assuming Tebow does qualify as a great QB.

I know Scott Mitchell. Scott Mitchell is a friend of mine. Scott Mitchell is no Tim Tebow...

Is there really any question as to whether Tebow is a franchise QB or not? Not in my mind. None whatsoever.
