His 30 bench presses in his Pro Day?

Tony Fiammetta also had 30 bench presses in the combine, with 4.58 40 time. Wink

I think if Fiammetta makes it, it would be over Hooman. I would suspect that Blount is competing with Bolden.

I don't see Hawaii Mike not making the final roster.

But i do agree Blount is probably competing with Boldin, who is on a much cheaper contract, so Boldin should win.
Boldin also showed an ability to play well on special teams coverage before he was injured/suspended/dog-housed by Bill.

If I had to make two changes to my roster, it would be Tony Fiametta for LeGarrette Blount and Ras-I Dowling for Steve Gregory. There, now I feel better. Wink

Everyone seems to assume that Leon Washington and Adrian Wilson will make it because they were signed as FA, but I'm not sure either one will make the final roster. Wilson is not getting any younger and we have aquired other guys capable of handling returns since Washington was signed.
I don't really see where Blount fits in other than a big body for goalline. I'm not real sure that he gets a spot just for that.

Although he hasn't been used in that role for a long time and he isn't the same player he once was, Leon Washington was once a very capable RB, not just a returner.

Washington had average of 5.0 a carry during his 4-year career with the Jets and also had 123 catches during that time [career high 47 in 2008], the Seahawks chose to make him pretty much strictly a return man but he's capable to back-up Vereen as the receiving back.

He's just 30, he can still contribute a little on offense.

1. Leon Washington is still a very explosive player both in the return game and on third downs. Its a reason Woodhead was allowed to walk, and why Pete Carroll was bragging so much on him and how he didn't want him to go. The guy is only 30, and is one of the best EVER in space and with the ball in his hands in regards to making plays and returning kicks. Still a gifted and unique player.. basically a faster, quicker and more elusive Kevin Faulk but can't receive as good, still a good 3rd down receiving back. You'll be amazed at how talented Washington still is, and can I say "still" because he is only 30.

2. ? Really, Adrian Wilson has been great as recently as the 2011 season where he went to the probowl and had another all pro year. Has been slowed down a little in 2012 mostly due to health but looks to be healthy going into this season. Although he may not be to some what he once was, he can still change games, make plays on the ball and be a situational difference maker and teacher out there on the field. He can bring that violent nature back to the secondary and is only 33. Yes, I said ONLY, I've seen Rod Woodson, Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, John Lynch and Brian Dawkins play at a high level older than that so please lol .. spare me ..... lol Adrian is still a great player.. and he's hungry to win.

No doubt these two make the team and contribute right away...

Why carry Kafka? Crappy #3 QB's are a dime a dozen and it's a total waste of a roster spot. There are literally a dozen similar guys they could put on the practice squad.

A 3rd QB just makes no sense unless the #3 is a prospect you are trying to protect or groom. Kafka isn't that guy at all.

Can get a few more bubble players on without Hernandez, and I don't think Tebow survives the cuts, so just 2 QBs.

*Brandon Spikes is dangled around in trade offers by summers end and doesn't end up making the Patriots final 53 man roster. Citing his poor selfish attitude, Belichick will ultimately decide that Spikes isn't the type of player he wants to have on his team.

Spikes has a poor, selfish attitude? If the Pats cut Spikes, it will be a huge mistake.
