will we draft a guard? I don't think so.

Well, Ducasse and Colon will be free agents after this season. The only guards we have under contract for next season are Winters and Campbell.

Aboushi too.

If Ducasse impressed, Jets would sign him. If Howard struggles at RT then he could move to inside. That is why I don't see us drafting another guard at the moment.

Louis Nix III from Notre Dame is intriguing to me to be honest

I know we got Ellis and Snacks but that boy was made for this defense

We literally do not need to draft another 3-4 defensive lineman before the 5th round for the next decade. We have countless other positions to worry about.

I like him too, but I might consider giving up if we picked another DL prospect in the first.

It would be a little better, but we better have traded/signed some weapons for Geno before we did that. The only positions I care about is WR, TE, OLB, and FS.

I hate how we have been handling the olb position. I gave up on the idea of us drafting a good one. I'm checking out the FA list. It's like we tried VG then gave up after he busted. All the great 3-4 defenses have pass rushers. 49ers is a great example of what happens when you get a pass rusher. They had the 16th ranked defense in 2010. They drafted Smith and been a top 3 defense ever since.

I agree but we know Rex doesn't truly value LB's and S's as much

Wilkerson-Nix-Richardson is drool worthy but we got Kenrick who's just as good

However I can see Idzik and his BPA strategy taking Nix especially if Rex is gonna try and play a ton of base

That's why this defense is falling a part. No OLB's mean teams can run to the outside & QBs have more time to throw it. When QBs have time to throw it, FS's with no range get burned.

Nix on the line sound great. I was such a huge Kris Jenkins fan, so having a real NT on the line again would be great. But I'm tired of us skipping these other needs. So it would really depend on how addressed those other positions.

I trust Idzik and do think he will go BPA. 3 first round picks on that line already, we will have to start paying up soon. So I have a hard time seeing us adding another 1st round pick.

As of right now, ASJ make the most sense if Geno, Hill, and Ivory prove they are good players.

ILB should not be locked. Harris is the slowest LB in football and Demario is out of position and hes looked unimpressive. IMO thats one of the bigger weaknesses of our defense.

Raiders with unstable qb situation to pick DE? I don't think so.

He'll probably end up a Raider or a Jaguar. I think whoever drafts second will take Clowney. I think the Raiders will take Clowney in the first and a QB like Stephen Morris in the second.
