Vernon offers good depth. From the little I watched Duke this season, he seemed to have solid hands and IMO, that's the best thing for a WR. I don't give a crap about "separation" as much as some. If he can catch passes thrown to him, that's what I want.

If he doesn't create separation, he won't be targeted so i think you should give a crap.

Notice I said, "as much as some". I just think that having the ability to catch surpasses all.

There are some people thinking the ability to catch isn't key for a receiver, that's news to me. If all the guys with good hands make good NFL WRs, that's news to me as well. What's the name of that guy from Oregon everybody wanted a couple years ago? What is he doing these days?

No, there are some people who focus more on 40 times and separation ability over catching the ball.

And I have no clue who you're talking about.

I really like Adrian Bushell, Lamar Mady, Kenneth Jackson adn Conner Vernon. Kentrell Harris is interesting as well. All have a shot to make the team.

Compares him to Tramon Williams, go figure.

Then I can see why Reggie would like him then. If we can hide him for a year while he learns we may just have something.

+1 -catching the football is by far the biggest / most important thing for a WR.

scouts and coaches look for size, speed, vertical, ect assuming they can teach people to catch.. and while you can, you can never teach it as well as a natural pass catcher.

I read he is on a tryout basis. Wasn't signed. Question is, why do we care? Is he suppose to be something? I mean not 1 team signed him. How attractive can he be as a player?
